Elephant folio. A collection of 5 yearly issues from the Antwerp society of etchers, containing 24 etched plates per issue, for a total of 120 etchings. The plates are all printed in very spacious margins. Among the working members were: Willem Linnig Sr. en Jr., K. Verlat, F. Lamorinière, Luc en Hendrik Schaefels, Frans van Kuyck, P. Verhaert and K. Ooms. A full list of the working members of the society can be found in the accompanying text which is bound at the end of each year. Short biographies of some of the members are also present. The text is always printed in two columns - French and Dutch side-by-side. The second year shows the contents for that year per 'aflevering/livraison'. It seems the etchings were published 6 at a time, in 4 issues per year.
