This book-album is about the history of the artistic direction called the Russian Avant-garde, its masters and achievements. It is about the tragic fate of many of them and the forced ending of their artistic search. Many works included in the book had the inscription "Unknown soviet author" because their names were struck from public memory and they either died in camps or voluntarily disappeared from public view. This book tells the story of some of them. 610 color illustrations.
