This copy, marked in colophon 'Ex. H.C. Japon [signed] Luc Durtain', has an large dedication by the author '23 février 1933'. Signed by Masereel on the french title. With an original woodcut laid in (as in the numbered ed. on Japon).
Monograph on Frans Masereel with 115 reproductions of woodcuts and drawings. This edition was printed the 31th of October 1931 on R. Coulouma's press in Argenteuil. 30 were printed on Japon Impérial, numbered I - XXX, containing one original woodcut by Masereel and signed by the artist and author. 600 were printed on Vélin and numbered 1-600. 25 h.c. marked A-Z.
