Martine Franck

This volume presents a collection of Martine Francke's photographs - her own favourites - grouped within themes of childhood, the theatre, the Orient, old age, portraits, museums and landscapes. In creating her pictures, which range from portraits of Michel Foucault and Marc Chagall, Franck sees the camera as a frontier...that one is constantly breaking down so as to get closer to the subject.
