First edition. Folio. Complete copy of Orlik's remarkable series of actor portraits made in connection with Max Reinhardt's production of Frank Wedekind's Die Büchse der Pandora. The expressive portraits form an important example of Orlik's work as a lithographer and record the actors of one of the defining works of the German theatre of the period. Each of the ten original lithographs is individually signed in pencil by Orlik. The edition was limited to 100 numbered copies; a further 10 Roman-numbered deluxe copies were issued with an original drawing.
