Artchat features more than 80 works of art and invites children to observe closely and get creative themselves. Where would you hide an elephant in a painting by David Teniers? Artchat has been created in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

The book is designed for children aged six and up. You don’t need to be an art lover—this book is just as much fun for kids (and adults) who think they have ‘nothing to do with art’. No theory, just engaging questions and playful activities. The assignments spark imagination, critical thinking, and personal taste—without children even noticing, because above all, they’ll discover how much fun art can be!

The book is also a great resource for the classroom, whether it’s a 10-minute discussion about an artwork or a hands-on creative assignment. Educational expert Michal Janssen wrote the book in the signature style of the Chatbook series: accessible, educational, and full of humor.
