Frank Peters: Introspective Noir from the Dutch Countryside
Frank Peters (b. 1962) lives and works in Babberich, a quiet border village in the Netherlands where his stories take root.
With his debut novel, The Girl at the Window, he stepped into the Dutch-language thriller genre.
His style is cinematic and observational, marked by psychological depth and a dry touch of humor. He writes as he lives: with an eye for detail, a sense of rhythm, and a deep fascination for people and what drives them.
Beyond writing, Frank is a musician in the melancholic rock band Crescent Moon, where he plays alongside his sons and brother.
His stories are not a sprint to the conclusion, but a layered journey through inner landscapes, quiet tensions, and moral gray zones.
Always human, never sentimental.
Always noir — but never black and white.
