Ayrton Senna

This is a biography, published five years after the death of Ayrton Senna at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix offering insights into his life, his death and the long-running aftershocks. It is based on first-hand research into his wealthy childhood in Brazil, through to the latest information on the Imola crash inquiry. It desribes single-seater racing from a human point of view, interviewing men who raced against, and worked for Senna, from Formula Ford 1600 through to Formula I. Comment is also given on telemetry from the fatal crash, tokens at his graveside, Senna's standing in Sao Paulo today, the work of the charitable Senna Foundation and the continuing grief among motorsport fans.
