Beyond Telepathy

Long unavailable in this country, this is one of the very best books available on the subject of psychical research - a subject that has a much wider audience today than when the book was first published, in 1962. Puharich here presents a coherent theory, and discusses its relation to such phenomena as ESP, astral projection, yoga, and shamanism. This is a stimulating attempt to relate psychical research to the physical side of man.
In the first part of the book, by citing a fascinating array of cases, Puharich brilliantly and lucidly marshalls the evidence for a "Nuclear Psi Entity" (or Psi Component) in man in the form of "Psi Plasma" which, he maintains, can exist independently of the physical body. Conventional science has ignored this area of research because its phenomena are not exactly repeatable to order. The aim of the latter and more technical part of the book, therefore, is to analyze the biological, psysiological and psychological conditions leading to the control of Psi Plasma so that its activity can be demonstrated to order.
