This is a month-by-month chronology of Charlie Parker's life from the revolutionary bebop recordings with Dizzy Gillespie in 1945 to his death only ten years later. The book lists his club and concert appearances and details all of his recording sessions as well as his long battles with authority in the shape of the law, the union and club owners.
