With original etching, numbered : P/A (Prueba de Artista) = A.P. (Artist proof) and signed by the artist. The set was designed and made by the artist himself and his work group private “studio, TALLER” BOSQUE PRIMARIO, in Bogota, Colombia. This hand-made work combines natura land ecological materials- silk, linen, carob tree wood (St.John’s Bread) and high cotton content paper – carefully hand-crafted by Colombian artisans. This final edition consists of 240 copies signed by Pedro Villalba Ospina, artist and author of the engravings. This is number 184

THIS ARTIST’S BOOK has been designed and developed at the request of the President of the Republic of Colombia , Juan Manuel Santos, to be given to the Presidents of the American Nations at the Sixth Summit of the Amercas, held in Cartagena de Indias in April 2012, and official visits. This State gift celebrates the 45th anniversary of the publication of ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE, the world known novel by Columbian Nobel Laureate, GABRIEL GARCIA MARQUEZ. It contains a copy of the novel illustrated by Columbian artist Pedro Villalba Ospina.
