Dancing Heads

Dancing Heads-a practical 'how to' book for dance teachers and those who would like to teach creative/contemporary dance to children and young people (ages 4 to 18) in studios, community centers and public schools. Approaches to teaching technique, using improvisation and creating dances (choreography) are included, as well as what to teach, when and why (curricula). Hints on what to do on a "bad dance day" and how to start a new class provide concrete solutions to problems that all dance teachers face. Dancing Heads offers inspiration, but also very practical approaches to daily problems: an analysis of structures and problems and a variety of possible solutions and approaches based on 45 years of teaching experience.
