Dead On The Corridor

In the landlocked center of the American West thrives a culture strongly rooted in the practices and doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the religion embraced by the early white settlers in the Utah Territory. These settlers were often called Mormons. This region is now known to many as the Mormon Corridor. Over the last half-century, the two-lane highway that once connected much of the Mormon Corridor was replaced by the much larger Interstate Fifteen. This stretch of highway is now one of the busiest in the United States. In his compilation of short stories, Dead On The Corridor, James Elliott's characters live on the cultural fringes.
