Deconstructive Subjectivities

Investigates the possibility that the subject, rather than being a driving force behind deconstruction, may appear to defend the foundational project of philosophical thinking at the very moment it begins to break up. The 11 essays highlight the variety of ways subjectivity has been interpreted within the continental philosophical tradition, including post-Kantian idealism, post- Husserlian phenomenology, psychoanalysis, Frankfurt Critical Theory, poststructuralism, and recent developments.
