Draw for Change

Six women, six stories. They create cartoons and graphic work in the besieged Syrian city of Idlib or in the Egypt of President al-Sisi. They combat fat-shaming and homophobia in Mexico or contemplate the past and present of President Putin’s Russia. They take aim at the Hindu nationalism of Indian Prime Minister Modi or hold the establishment accountable in the USA. Whether they hail from Syria, Egypt, Mexico, Russia, India or the USA, they're amongst the finest in their field.

Still, the path to recognition was anything but a walk in the park.
