The erasure of the Poor Black Woman in the freedom struggles of Black People, Women, and the Working Class may actually be the reason why true liberation has not be achieved as of yet. Claudia Jones is a pivotal figure in intersectional theory, as she fought for the liberation of all through the means of liberating the Poor Black Woman. In order to showcase her work, there is an examination of the marginalization that comes with each identity through the lens of Marcus Garvey, Monique Wittig, and Karl Marx. This shows the unique position of the Poor Black Woman and why we cannot be liberated until she is. So what does it truly mean to be Black? To be Woman? To be a Worker? and to be all three?
