Even More Kinky Friedman

In 'Armadillos and Old Lace' the Kinkster decides to take a break from big-city murder and mayhem but has scarcely arrived in Texas before his friend, Judge Knox, turns up at his ranch wanting to talk about four little old ladies.
'Four little old ladies?' I said. 'Do they want me to join them in a quilting bee?'
'No,' said the judge. 'They're dead.'

'God Bless John Wayne' sees Kinky once again ensconced in his Lower Manhattan loft, having taken on the deceptively tame assignment of helping his pal Ratso find his true birth mother - an assignment which leads to untidy mayhem involving a couple of stiffs and an apparent plot to kill Ratso.

In 'The Love Song of J. Edgar Hoover' the Kinkster is hired by Polly Price to find her missing husband, but soon figures out that he may be in a lot more trouble than he's bargained for. And when Village Irregular Mike McGovern disappears - along with the lovely Polly - Kinky comes to the only conclusion that could conceivably link these disparate events - the FBI is after him!
