Howard Smith Shipping

History of the shipping business Howard Smith Shipping, which was the longest lasting shipping enterprise in Australia. From the purchase of the 177-ton passenger and cargo steamer 'Express' in 1854 until the sale of the last cargo ship in 1997 there was always a member of the Howard Smith family on the board of the company.
