In a Strange Room

A triptych of snapshots narrated by a man named Damon who travels the world, in search of himself and the eternal other. When Damon is in Greece, he meets a long-haired German stranger, Reiner, with whom he becomes enthralled. Reiner works his charm over Damon, who becomes, effectively, his lackey as they traipse around the sun-blasted mountains; it takes great strength for him to break away. But he is always destined to be a follower, in somebody else’s shadow.
