Johnny Depp

As a child, Johnny was an outsider. During his wayward teenage years he found expression through music. As an adult, he turned to acting, but continued to live by his own rules, confounding and delighting critics and fans alike with his choice of roles. He has only played parts that have spoken to him, whether they be colourful misfits such as "Edward Scissorhands" and "Willy Wonka", or more conventional roles such as J.M. Barrie. Yet his performances never fail to impress, and now, with the staggering box-office success of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy, he has achieved a formidable position in Hollywood.
