In 1966 Lieutenant Paul D. Walker arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry, the armored cavalry of the 1st Infantry Division, the famed "Big Red 1." He tells an exciting story of living on the edge and engaging in heavy combat with the 9th Viet Cong Division. Includes bandw photos of tanks and soldiers, many from the author's collection. Walker retired from the army as a colonel following some 30 years service as an armor officer. He is now a stock broker and a teacher of political science. Lacks a subject index.
