Katharina Grosse – The Sprayed Dear

For almost three decades, Grosse has been using the spray technique to paint her bright, vibrant images across canvases, interior and exterior spaces and various objects such as stones, wood and furniture. Sculptural forms made of aluminum, bronze and polystyrene are transformed into vibrant, dynamic compositions through the integration of colors and natural materials such as wood. Grosse transcends the boundaries of two-dimensionality and doesn‘t only paint traditional canvases, but also entire rooms, facades and landscapes. Her experimental approach creates immersive experiences. The catalogue offers a comprehensive overview of Grosse's diverse oeuvre and shows the inexhaustible range of painting on various materials allowing her to redefine the possibilities of the art form!
