Moving adeptly between the opposing poles of fashion and art photography, she employs a technique of staged improvisation in dealing with existing aesthetic concepts, exposing the familiar cliches of omnipresent media with a fine sense of irony. Her photos cannot be overlooked. They draw attention to themselves yet do not impose with torrents of color or experimental arrangements. Instead, they create the impression that the photographer is telling a story, a mysterious narrative related in quiet tones, based upon a screenplay.
