Kees Visser

Forming the first retrospective monograph on the work of Dutch artist Kees Visser, this publication coincides with an exhibition with the same name held at the Matisse Departmental Museum, Le Cateau-Cambrésis. Planned in close working with the artist, the exhibition and also the publication include some 60 of Visser’s works, from initial weavings realised in Iceland in the 1970s to his recent monumental monochrome paintings, some of which were made specifically for the show. Sympathetically designed and generously illustrated with full-page images of works, many in-situ, the publication is accompanied by two essays by Jérôme Poggi and Thomas Lange.
