The editor's introduction (pp. 7-27) explains that the works collected here cover the period November 1897-September 1899; they include the entire contents of Zola's "La vérité en marche" (1901), with the addition of "open letters" addressed to individuals or groups, and interviews, relating to Jews, antisemitism, and the Dreyfus Affair.
