Contemporary leather with marbled boards, the original wrapper bound in. While Monod calls for etchings and coloured plates, these are not present. Futhermore, this copy is marked 2 (of the 5 copies on Japon), supposedly with a "sonnet inédit et un original de Ch. Gir". Both are not present in this copy, nor is the paper Japon. We think this might be one of 30 hc. copies. Nevertheless signed by both author and illustrator. In good condition, some light foxing.
