Lovely, tight set of the deluxe edition of this sumptuous edition, limited to 100 numbered copies signed by conductor Bernard Haitink in the facsimile volume's colophon leaf. The first, slimmer volume is a thorough discussion and history of the Seventh Symphony by Donald Mitchell and Edward R. Reilly, while the thick second volume is a color facsimile of Mahler's entire manuscript. The inside front clamshell case panel also houses a two CD recording of Haitink conducting the Seventh Symphony with the Berlin Philharmonic and an accompanying square 32mo booklet. An outstanding facsimile in stunning presentation.
