Sanguine

"With the exhibition project 'Sanguine,' curated by Luc Tuymans, Fondazione Prada explores the connections of the Baroque world with the society and arts of today, establising a connection between the works of contemporary artists and 17th-century Old Masters. Being a painter himself, Tuymans works from within and invites viewers to look at contemporary art as the outcome of a story of exchanges ongoing since the 17th century, sometimes below the surface, sometimes in a clear, evident manner. The story of a relationship between artists and their environments; of the role of arts in society and of artists as interpreters of their present.
