Squeeze

Forming in 1974, in the early days Squeeze were criticised for songs that contained neither the ideology not the venom of contemporaries such as The Sex Pistols and The Clash. Yet, by the early 1980s, they were filling Madison Square Garden, and songwriters Tilbrook and Difford were being hailed as 'the new Lennon and McCartney'.
