Stephen Ward Speaks

In 1962 the Profumo Affair, as it came to be known, hit the British public and tabloids. Communism, espionage and the use of pretty girls and sex to elicit state secrets shocked the British public, and the fact that the apparent facilitator for this transaction, was not a Russian, but an Englishman Stephen Ward. The first part of the book offers conversations with Stephen Ward and with Warwick Charlton just before his death. The second part of the book is a summing up by a pre-eminent lawyer and former judge, Gerald Sparrow.
