Tap, Tap, Tap!

Everyone has worry clouds above their heads sometimes. Sometimes they appear when we have a big test coming up or when we think about scary things, but sometimes they appear for no reason at all! Some people may feel like they have to do simple things, like knocking on wood, to make their worry cloud go away. In Tap, Tap, Tap, we learn that avoidance behaviors only makes the clouds grow. We learn that it is better to sit with your unpleasant feelings until your positive feelings come back to you. This story is intended to help little minds navigate the challenges of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder at an early age, introducing them to the tools needed for long term anxiety reduction. Based on the widely-used techniques of Exposure Therapy, this story can help calm the mind of the little one who you love. It can also help spark a conversation that can help your little one understand the obsessions and compulsions within their mind.
