Francine knows her A Gung loves her, but she also knows that deep down, he would have preferred it if she had been born a boy. After all, boys take care of the family, girls marry into other people's - at least according to her grandfather's generation. With A Gung's health deteriorating, Francine is on a mission to reassure him that the family name will continue once he is gone. So what if it's the twenty-first century? Enter Ollie. Francine's former crush, and about as all-American as can be. Ollie's family rarely talk about their Chinese-Vietnamese roots. Could helping Francine finally give him insight into his history and heritage?
