The Microscope & the Elephant

In the Bachelor course "The Microscope and the Elephant", Introduction to Philosophy of Science and (Environmental) Ethics' students have to write four columns and a short essay in which they practice philosophy. Reading the columns of other students can be very helpful in the process of writing your own column, for that reason we put together this book: a collection of some of the best columns. This book offers a great help for students who struggle to write a column, but it is also an interesting collection of philosophical ideas. This book includes an interview with Floris van den Berg, a lecturer of this course, a list of must-read books, articles and videos, and of course, the students' columns and essays.
