The Other Slovakia

What goes on behind the scenes is often more interesting than events on the "main stage" of life. The involuntary gestures, the ambiguous situations that can be hard to understand, reveal at certain moments something spontaneous and inimitable in life. These behind the scenes moments are the authentic life, the rituals and customs of ordinary people. This photo book depicts a Slovakia that is fast disappearing because it is not able, or maybe even does not want, to come to terms with "the new age of globalization."
