Verdi: Otello (DVD)

This all-new DVD from the Metropolitan Opera features Verdi's operatic masterpiece, Otello. The cast features American soprano Renee Fleming in one of her signature roles. As The New York Times noted, "she knows exactly how to spin the gentle lines of the `Willow Song' and `Ave Maria' so that they softly fill the hall." The cast includes South African tenor Johan Botha in the title role, Falk Struckmann as an evil Iago and Semyon Bychkov conducts.
