Wilderness

Jim Morrison, songwriter, rock star, lead singer for The Doors, poet, died in 1971. But his legend and his genius have lived on through his records, his music, his lyrics ... 'Wilderness' is an extraordinary body of work, an important event in the history of literature and of rock 'n' roll ... Perhaps only John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen can be put in Jim Morrison's class as poets to emerge from the rock 'n' roll generation ... This collection proves that Jim Morrison was a unique visionary, a man driven by love as well as pain, by ego as well as sacrifice, by life as well as death. This book is Jim Morrison's. In his words, 'If my poetry aimes to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel.' 'Wildernes' does just that.
