Allen Jones - Sheer magic

Allen Jones's work is regarded as the embodiment of British Pop. The fundamental concerns of the artist, however, are the human figure and the fusion of representational form. He has invested his own images of women with a provocative eroticism as a means of arousing the viewer's emotional response. An introduction by Alan Bowness precedes a monograph on Jones's work written by Marco Livingstone, Keeper of Modern Painting at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
