This unique book presents a vast selection of postcards dating from 1900 to 1940. These postcards are not only noteworthy because they provide a pictorial history of the architecture of the New World, but also because of the specific nature of the images. The illustrations represent a range of techniques from hand-drawn pictures to photographs taken with gigantic plates and copies of original engravings.
