Brixel

"Brixel" is a magnificent work about Sweden's most famous contemporary sculptor, Richard Brixel. His art can be seen worldwide and he was one of the 25 internationally acclaimed sculptors who were invited to embellish the arena area in Bejing 2008. The book, with an introductory essay by Sophie Allgårdh, gives us insight into the life of the sculptor and we are presented with interesting reflections about his work. The illustrated book shows the diversity of his art, from huge monumental pieces to beautifully detailed smaller sculptures. From the familiar racing portraits of Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Ronnie Peterson, to movements, dreams and thoughts captured in bronze.
