An account of a search by a Holocaust survivor from the men's camp in Birkenau B II D for fellow survivors - then Jewish boys aged 13-16 selected by Mengele in July 1944 for hard labor. 20 boys survived. Gives a report of their wartime experiences: persecution in their own countries (e.g. Czechoslovakia, France), the transports to the camps, the arrival and selections, the conditions in the camps (e.g. Theresienstadt, Auschwitz-Birkenau), and the evacuations at the approach of the Russians and the Americans. Mentions the uprising of the Sonderkommando in Auschwitz. As a result of the search, Durlacher organized a reunion in 1990 in Kibbutz Givat Haim (Israel).
