Grenada

Grenada, located in the West Indes, has had a very colourful past with the English, French and the Caribs all fighting, at various stages, to gain control. This book attempts to provide factual information on aspects of life in the State of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique. The book opens with an introduction to the historical and cultural heritage of the populus, the crops grown on the isle, with particular emphasis on the native spices, the way food is cooked and the various social activities enjoyed. The book also describes the country itself and is designed to prove of interest to both visitors to the island and to the inhabitants themselves.
