Henry Moore Sculpture

Henry Moore personally photographed his sculptures from the 1930s until late in his career. Often, moreover, he rephotographed in colour many older works when they passed through his studios a second time or appeared in exhibitions. The illustrations in this volume include about 500 of his photographs, augmented by material from other photographers held in the Henry Moore Foundation Archives. These illustrations are arranged within a chronological framework and show the development of Moore's work from his early carvings of the 1920s and 1930s, through the stringed figures, reclining figures, family groups and two and three piece sculptures to the monumental outdoor pieces of the 1970s..."
