It forms the second part of the larger 'Traité complet des bois & des forêts', in which the author gives the synthesis of all theoretical and practical knowledge on trees as well as the progress made in this field. The work was intended for the general public as well as for garden and forests professionals. Nicely illustrated with 50 folding plates. At the end, a glossary of terms of botany and agriculture.
