First edition thus and the first volume in Franz Schneider's series Luxusgraphik Schneider. A particularly attractive example of German Expressionist book illustration, entirely designed by Richard Janthur (1883–1956), including the binding decoration, title-page and initial. The seven full-page original lithographs are individually monogrammed in pencil, in addition to the artist's signature in the colophon. Reference: Lang, Expressionismus, 153.
