Panzer IV

As one of the mainstays of the German Panzer armies during the Second World War, the Panzerkampfwagen [Pzkw] IV was unique as the only German tank in service and production throughout the war. It played a vital and very successful role at the beginning but was gradually overtaken by Allied tank developments, such as the Soviet T-34.
