Imbuing the abstract quality of light with concrete form, Austrian artist Brigitte Kowanz literally lets it speak in word and text motifs, relating it to surrounding space, capturing it in luminous objects. Her treatment of light and language reveals that visualization and linguistic articulation, illumination and discussion, are synonymous strategies of reflection capable of enlightening and describing one another.
