'This LSD is pure hero food’ - Original typoscipt of a poem describing an Amsterdam LSD trip

George ANDREWS – ‘Amsterdam Reflection’ [Original signed typoscript] ca. 1964. 2 p. folded.

* George Andrews, American poet and writer, was also a noted figure in psychedelic and alternative research. He published a.o. ‘The book of Grass : An Anthology of Indian Hemp’ in 1967 (with Simon Vinkenoog), and a collection of poems ‘Burning joy’ (1966). He is best known for his works on extraterrestrial life, mind control, and the mystical dimensions of drug use, particularly with LSD. His works often combined the fringe elements of conspiracy theories with a focus on psychedelic experiences, portraying LSD as a tool for expanding consciousness and uncovering hidden truths.
