The Upanishads

The Upanishads are the concluding part of the Hindu sacred texts The Vedas. They are regarded as the supreme work of the Indian mind, containing its greatest poetry as well as a record of the deepest spiritual experiences. Sri Aurobindo's translation stresses the inspired nature of the texts, often ignored by previous commentators who seek to bring out the intellectual sense alone. This volume comprises Sri Aurobindo's final translations of an commentaries on every Upanishad or other Vedantic text he worked on over a period of more than two decades.
